Master Degree in Applied Psychology to Healt, Work and Juridical-Forensic Contexts

The Master Degree (CdLM) (LM51) in Applied Psychology to Healt, Work and Juridical-Forensic Contexts aims at training psychologists able to design, realize and verify interventions to solve problems at individual, organizational and juridical levels, and to promote individuals group development. The psychologist graduated in this CdLM will have professional skills that may be used in the work market after the post lauream internship/apprenticeship. The acquired knowledge will give the possibility to work in one the following three professional fields: health, work and organizational, juridical-forensic contexts.
Along the course, students will be given the opportunity to face professionist form different fields of study, through hands-on and practical activities, besides beeing able to access working environments relevant for the course for short periods of time.
Graduated students in this CdLM will be able to access the 2nd level of univesrity education (Specialization School and Research Doctorate), either in Italy or abroad.

  • Applied Psychology to Juridical-Forensic Context

Applied Psychology to Healt Context

The curriculum aims at training psychologists who will be able to use the tools and knowledge for the evaluation and diagnosis, design and realization of interventions for the prevention and promotion of health as well as interventions of psychological and clinical counseling in individual and group environments. The different psychological tecniques will be framed in evaluable models and particular attention will be dedicated to developing theoretical and methodological knowledge on evidence-based interventions and on the ability to develop critical thinking concerning their use. The principal fields of expertise that will be developed are: 1) psychological evalutaion in terms of screening, outcome and process evaluation, as well as for the tools to use in these different fileds; 2) designing and performing interventions aiming at: promotion of health; primary, secondary and tertiary prevention; empowerment; support; habilitation aand rehabilitation; 3) methods and tecniques for the evaluation of interventions efficacy.

Applied Psychology to Work Context

The curriculum aims at generating psychological skills necessary to promote and develop the potentialities of individuals and groups in work contexts and to promote individual, group and organizational wellbeing. Prospective graduates will be able to work in organizational environments, mastering the models and most advanced methods for the evaluation of performance and potential, selection and training, individual and organizational development, organizational design and decision-making. The curriculum will also foster interdisciplinary knowledge to better understand organizational functioning, in line with the cultural changes and technological advancements in work places and in work processes.

The curriculum will also offer integrative activities among which: a training course for trainers including a one-day outdoor training; seminars at consultant societies and the academies of some among the principal italian companies and the “talent-incubator” path with the meritocracy forum where a group of selected students will be assigned a mentor form the world of organizations.

Applied Psychology to Juridical-Forensic Context

The curriculum aims at providing students a solid education that allows them to work in juridical-forensic contexts with the necessary psychological knowledge. The main technical tools concerning cognitive and affective processes, individuals’ personality, clinical psychology, psychodiagnostics, that are fundamental to evaluate and perform interventions in civil and penal contexts. The main areas of compenece that will be developed will concern: 1) psychological evaluation (individual and group) for juridic-forensic purposes in civil and penal contexts regarding adults and minors; 2) designing and performing interventions for the promotion of legality and prevention of risks and violent conducts at individual, institutional and social levels.
